Jerusalem, Israel - Nov. 8, 2015 - The fifth president of Israel ,Yitzkak Navon, Z"L, was niftar at the age of 94, on Shabbat in Jerusalem, Israel. 

The coffin of the former President of the State of Israel, lay in state at Beit Hanasi, the President’s Residence in Jerusalem before the burial on Sunday at Mt. Herzl.

The public was invited to pass before the coffin and pay their respects between 9-11 am at Beit Hanasi. Mostly senior citizens and government employees were in the small crowd of mourners. Navon was loved and admired. He was the  first Sephardi President. However, most young people had no connection or memory of his ground breaking tenure. Though active, he kept a modest and low profile in recent years.
