Jerusalem, Israel - Oct. 17, 2015 - Motzaei Shabbat - Bi-partisan Congressional support for Israel became theme of a special Town Hall style meeting held after Shabbat at the Inbal Hotel in Jerusalem. Five visiting US Congressmen spoke to an overflow crowd and expertly answered audience questions.

In opening remarks, lawyer Marc Zell stated 400,000 US citizens are living in Israel, but only a little over 100,000 are registered to vote in US elections. No questions were to be allowed about Jonathan Pollard.

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC), Rep. Alan Lowenthal (D-CA), Rep. Scott Garrett (R-NJ) and Rep. Raul Labrador (R-ID) spent the past week touring key locations, meeting officials and enjoying a Shabbat experience.

Rep. Jim Jordan, who received applause when his pro-Israel voting record was mentioned, said this delegation would go back to US and tell the truth to fellow representatives about what is happening here.

Though none of the members of the panel would speak against the Obama administration while on a trip away from home, all spoke strongly in support of Israel. It was noted that in the last several years, the only countries with improved relations with US are Iran and Cuba.

An old Mark Twain quip, those who do not read are uniformed, while those who do read are misinformed got laughs from the audience. The New York Times and journalists were criticized, even though Jerusalem Post editor Steve Linde served as moderator. Rep. Labrador said "rather than evil, many journalists were lazy".

Special thanks went to Ruthie Lieberman of Yes Israel for organizing. The evening attracted English speakers, from as young as 14 to seniors on walkers.

Audience members crowded around the visiting Congressmen to shake hands and share comments after the hour program adjourned.
