Baltimore, MD - June 17, 2026 - Early voting ends Thursday June 17th. You may still vote in person on Tuesday June 23rd. Zohran Mamdani was elected Mayor of New York with nearly 70% of the voters staying home. We cannot allow that to happen here. Make no mistake about it, Dalya Attar's opponent has some of the same vile, ideas of hatred that Mamdani has. The difference is we have a candidate on our side who has represented the ENTIRE 41st district over the last number of years, securing much needed funds for the Jewish Community, the African American community, the impoverished and disadvantaged community. Simply put, Dalya Attar has done her job, fighting for everyone in our district. Her opponent, who in the past has thanked Dalya for securing funds for his constituency, is not about representing the district. Rather, he is another opportunist whose goal is power.
Maryland is one of the highest taxed states in the country. Your vote helps determine where your tax dollars are going. Before we had committed representation, the failure of our community to actively participate in elections caused the decline of our police force to the point where we had to start the NWCP and later Shomrim. We had to start Hatzala because people were dying waiting for a city fire or ambulance response. In short, we had become a community which was expected to pay our taxes and get nothing. Dalya changed all that. A partial list of her accomplishments include:
$1.4 million for the Park Heights JCC; $500,000 for Jewels; $400,000 for CHAI; $300,000 for Ahavas Chaim; $125,000 for Bikur Cholim; $125,000 for Camp Shoresh; $120,000 for the Rebbetzin Ruderman Agudah playground; $100,000 for WITS; $100,000 for Yeshivas Torah Simcha; $75, 000 for Tiferes Golda; $50,000 for Cheder Chabad; $50,000 for Hachnosos Ohrchim of Baltimore; Expanded MTA bus service for private school students; Secured millions in funding for School Security, Nurses and Textbooks. Passed legislation allowing Hatzala to use emergency lights.
Before Dalya, most of this money went for causes on the complete other side of town. Our tax dollars being simply redistributed to more active communities who insured that they had a voice in Annapolis. Compared to New Jersey, New York, Minnesota and others, our representation still falls far short of our presence in the community. We can certainly not afford to give up what we have gained. Dalya is my neighbor. When there is something amiss that requires State attention, I send her a text message. AND SHE ANSWERS. I have found her to not only be responsive but a genuinely caring person interested in advancing the causes not only of our community, but the entire district. This has given her great credibility in Annapolis as a true ambassador, not someone simply looking after a core constituency.
I urge all of you to get out and vote. Early voting is open today, Monday and Tuesday or on election day. And vote for Dalya Attar. We must keep her as our State Senator.
