The Prime Minister said security forces acted quickly in the attack in North Jerusalem this morning.
Prime Minister Netanyahu spoke at the cabinet meeting Sunday and praised security forces who acted quickly today in the terror attack in North Jerusalem, near the police station in Sheikh Jarrah.
“We experienced a shooting by a terrorist who was sitting in his vehicle," Netanyahu stated at the weekly meeting, "the terrorist injured several people. We are still investigating the details and security forces are working at the scene of the attack.”
Netanyahu sent his wishes for a speedy recovery to the families of the victims. He stated that, “according to reports, the work done by Israeli police at the scene was swift and well done. They tracked down the terrorist and neutralized him.”
Prime Minister Netanyahu also mentioned that he intends to ensure that the nuclear reactor in Dimona be named after Shimon Peres.
“He worked tirelessly to construct this important nuclear plant for the security of Israel and future generations – and I think that it’s proper and correct to name the reactor after him,” Netanyahu said.
