Baltimore, MD - Dec. 30, 2015 - A few Baltimore Holocaust Survivors and family gathered Sunday, December 20, 2015 for an afternoon of post-Chanukah Social. Guest pianist, Doris Sugar, entertained with some lively Chanukah tunes. This was followed by a power point presentation about Chanukah celebration in DP camps and Israel. The program concluded with a short Chanukah Quiz.
This group, Baltimore Holocaust Survivors and Descendants, founded in January 2015 meets once a month, usually on the third Sunday from 2 – 4 pm at the Park Heights JCC. Programs are targeted for Survivors and Descendants of Survivors who are interested in learning about the Holocaust and not allowing the world to forget the murder of 2/3 of European Jewry. For 2016, there is planning for a variety of movies, lectures and discussions.
