Jerusalem - An Israeli Arab convicted in Egypt of espionage has been released after serving his 15-year sentence and returned to Israel on Thursday, the Israeli prime minister’s office said.
Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said Ouda Tarabin, a Bedouin Arab, was released after completing his 15-year sentence. It also said that Israel released two Egyptian prisoners, without providing further information.
Egyptian officials could not immediately be reached for comment.
