Jerusalem, Israel - Aug. 1, 2025 - United Hatzalah medical responders provided emergency medical treatment to a young adult who sustained critical injuries after being bitten by a tiger at the Jerusalem Biblical Zoo. The patient was transported via United Hatzalah ambulance to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital, where his condition is currently defined as critical.

Dr. Ariel Lifshitz, volunteer physician with United Hatzalah, and EMTs David Spedje and Avraham Podolsky reported: "We were informed at the scene that the patient sustained life-threatening injuries following a tiger bite incident. We provided initial emergency medical treatment at the scene. The patient was subsequently transported via United Hatzalah ambulance to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem. His condition remains critical. Due to the nature of this incident, United Hatzalah psychotrauma responders operated at the scene."
