Baltimore, MD - Dec. 12, 2023 - The Baltimore City Department of Transportation is installing eight new red light cameras in the city to enhance road safety, according to WBALTV. Enforcement at these new locations will start on Monday, with fines for red light violations costing $75.
The new camera locations include Liberty Heights and Reisterstown Road, Harford Road and Erdman Avenue, North Avenue and Pennsylvania Avenue, Orleans Street and Ensor Street, Frankford Avenue and Belair Road, Edmondson Avenue and Hilton Street, Pratt Street at the Pier Five garage, and Edmondson Avenue and Uplands Parkway.
These cameras aim to reduce dangerous behaviors like running red lights and speeding, which are the leading causes of accidents and injuries on city roads.
