Dear Friends, שיחיו

Election Day is upon us. This Tuesday, November 6th, we will have “our say” as to the direction the levels of government will take for the foreseeable future.

We would like to remind you that it does matter and it does make a difference to our community that everyone goes out to vote on Election Day.

There are critical races that will be decided based on voter turnout. The outcome of the Primary Election this past June does not guarantee anything, nor does polling or projections. Staying at home and simply saying, “others will vote”, is irresponsible.

We live in trying times. We have never had as much concern about the safety and security of our families as we do today. The financial burdens we have as day school families have never been this significant. As a community of faith, we face challenges new and complex every day.

We must show our community’s strength in numbers and show up at the polls to ensure that we are represented by those who share our concerns and support our needs.

Polls are open on Tuesday from 7 am to 8 pm. Please visit www.mdvoting.info for polling locations and other election related info.

Help yourself, your family, and your community – please make sure to vote.

Sincerely, Rabbi Ariel Sadwin
