Baltimore, MD - June 1, 2018:

Dear Friends:

I hope this note finds you well. I returned yesterday from an uplifting and exhilarating week in Eretz Yisrael with some of our members. I hope to share some impressions with you this Shabbos morning.

I also wanted to invite you to an important event we will be having in shul this Shabbos afternoon, June 2, together with Congregation Shomrei Emunah.

Several months ago, I had the opportunity to meet Ronnie Wachtel, the founder of Kav l'Noar in Israel. We discussed how to best help families navigating the challenges of parenting, which is the focus of this organization that he founded upon his "retirement" to Israel. Hearing him discuss these matters, I was taken by his wisdom and manner, and told him that I would welcome an opportunity to have our community hear his message and gain from his wisdom. Rabbi Marwick of Shomrei felt the same way.

Thankfully, Ronnie took us up on our invitation and then some, by bringing together with him Dr. Susan Schulman, a pediatrician in New York who is respected and sought out nationally for her guidance in contemporary parenting challenges.

I am thrilled that we are hosting both of them for what will be a great learning opportunity for parents of all ages, this Shabbos afternoon from 6:30-8:00 pm. The program will include presentations from both of them as well as some time for Q&A.

There is Mincha both at 6:00 pm and at 8:00 pm.

I hope you will all take advantage of this special opportunity.

Good Shabbos and all the best!

Moshe Hauer
