Baltimore, MD - June 12, 2019 - In preparation for the Yom Tov of Kabbalas HaTorah, the Mir Rosh Yeshiva, Hagaon Harav Nachman Levovitz, shlita, and Harav Elimelech Reznick shlita, Maggid Shiur at the Mir Yeshiva, visited Baltimore for the weekend of Parshas Bechukosai, joining the kehilla in a Shabbos of Chizuk, a Sunday morning Seder Iyun, and a Benefit Reception.

Harav Levovitz spoke on Friday night at Rabbi Akiva Meister’s Kehillas Bnei Yeshiva, where many Mir alumni daven.  On Shabbos morning, he spoke at the Agudah of Park Heights, led by Rav Moshe Heinemann, shlita.  For Mincha and Shalosh Seudos, Rav Levovitz went to Mercaz Torah UTefillah, led by Rav Yissocher Dov Eichenstein, a longtime Mir talmid.

Harav Reznick addressed Kehillas Bnei Torah (Rav Jonathan Aryeh Seidemann) on Friday night, Congregation Shomrei Emunah (Rav Binyamin Marwick) and Kehillas Derech Chaim (Rav Pinchas Gross) on Shabbos morning, Kol Torah (Rav Yosef Berger) in the afternoon, and Khal Ahavas Yisrael Tzemach Tzedek before Maariv.

Sunday morning’s Seder Iyun at Kol Torah began with Shacharis at 8:15 followed by breakfast and a learning seder.  At 11 AM, Rav Reznick delivered a shiur on the sugya that was learned, Zecher LeMikdash BeSefiras HaOmer.  In the evening, the community-wide Benefit Reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jan Loeb, devoted Mir friends and parents.  A special drasha (watch below) was delivered – via video from Yerushalayim – by Harav Shmuel Wolman, a popular Maggid Shiur in the Mir’s Bais Yeshaya and a native of Baltimore, where his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Meir Wolman, have been hosting Rav Nachman Levovitz for over twenty years.

Mir Yerushalayim thanks the Baltimore community for its continued warm support for the yeshiva.
