Ezra Wohlgelernter, a leader in the Jewish community over the past 30 years and a co-founding partner of Feldman Shepherd Wohlgelernter Tanner Weinstock & Dodig LLP, was installed as president of the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association. After previously serving as association vice president and president-elect, Wohlgelernter will serve a one-year term as president.

 

With 34 years of professional experience and service as the vice chair of the Senior Law Center, Wohlgelernter will spearhead the PTLA’s mission to be an active professional organization dedicated to preserving the rights of injured individuals in the legal system. 

 

Delaware Valley philanthropist, business and community leader Ernie Scheller received an honorary doctoral degree from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. The ceremony took place in Beer-Sheva, Israel.

 

Scheller and his wife, Roberta, have been connected with various local Jewish and other charitable institutions for more than 50 years. He has been an active member of the American Associates, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev Mid-Atlantic Region for more than 20 years. He also is a member of the university’s Board of Governors.

 

The Schellers annually make a major gift for scholarship contribution to the university. They’re involved either through funding or taking an active participatory role in several projects and are members of the Ben-Gurion and Living Legacy societies.
