Baltimore, MD - May 28, 2024  - We are so thrilled about the momentous changes and improvements happening at both JCCs, including the redevelopment of the Park Heights J on the new Goldsmith campus.

The exciting redevelopment of the Park Heights JCC will be completed over the next 15 months and will feature a fully renovated Center for Sports and Wellness, a new J Town, and so much more.  The redevelopment of the Goldsmith Campus will enhance the entire building as the home of The Associated’s headquarters, a state-of-the-art auditorium, the Jewish Library of Baltimore, and several gathering spaces for the community.

We are so grateful for the vision of The Associated and generosity of community funders for underwriting this major effort.

We are excited to share some details of The Sports & Wellness renovations in Park Heights which will include:

*     Addition of two new group fitness studios plus revitalizing the three existing ones

*       Upgrades to the Fitness Center and Locker Rooms to include new flooring, lighting, and an advanced sound system

*       Renovated Gymnasium including the addition of pickleball courts

*      New steam room for women

Throughout this extensive renovation, our commitment is to maintain the same high quality member experience for you and your family. Given the temporary inconveniences expected, we are working on several incentives to encourage our regular Park Heights visitors to retain their membership during this period of transition. We want to remind you that our Center for Sports & Wellness at the Rosenbloom Owings Mills JCC is always available to you including our newly upgraded fitness center, two renovated gymnasiums, indoor track, Shapiro Aquatics Park, as well as group fitness classes.

We want to ensure that the JCC maintains excellent programs and services for you and your family. That's why we continue to invest in our facilities, infrastructure, and security, and in attracting and maintaining a talented and passionate staff. Our efforts to guarantee that the JCC remains indispensable to our community have become more costly each year. We are implementing a nominal increase in our membership fees, starting June 1, 2024, to cover the rise in our expenses. Learn more at jcc.org/member-rates.

Our best always,
