Our Story: In the year 2011 Rabbi David Frid was diagnosed with ALS, which causes complete deterioration of the muscles in the body. In the beginning, he heroically fought to function on his own, even after he was confined to a wheelchair. At present, the disease has progressed to the point where he is now fully paralyzed, on a breathing machine and although fully cognizant, can only communicate with his eyes. He needs 24-hour surveillance and special care to survive. The ongoing costs are mind boggling. The family cannot continue without your support!
Please donate generously to give R' Dovid the lifesaving care he needs while allowing our family to function!

About 60,000 immigrants from 93 countries moved to Israel over the last year
The number of Jews in the world reached 15.3 million, with 7 million of them living in Israel, according to data published by the Jewish Agency ahead of the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah.
The data showed a slight increase compared to 15.2 million Jews last year. While the number of Jews living in Israel stands at about 7,080,000, about 8.25 million Jews live outside of the Jewish State, of which about 6 million are in the United States and about 2.25 million in all other countries.
The percentage of Jews in Israel out of all Jews in the world stands at 46.2 percent, an increase of one percent compared to the previous year. The passing year also marked a record of two decades of immigration to Isr...
Opponents of the US in the cybersphere were probably not thrilled when they found out who they would be up against with Anne Neuberger’s appointment as US deputy national security advisor for cyber and emerging technology.
In an exclusive interview with The Jerusalem Post, Neuberger said she and others in the Biden administration have brought a “relentless focus” to the issue of cyberdefense.
“It is a part of lifting everyone up. Everyone is capable of improving. There are different [economic] sectors and different levels of their understanding of the threat and of their maturity,” said Neuberger in explaining her approach to strengthening America’s cyber protections.
Neuberger knows something about combating opponents relentlessly, having s...

Over the course of the next few days, the teams of volunteers, together with the Breslov medical clinic in Uman will be on hand to treat anyone in need of medical care over the course of the Rosh Hashana holiday.

49% of respondents think Israel should attack Iranian nuclear facilities, even without Washington’s approval
The Israel Democracy Institute published a survey on Sunday that showed that only 32 percent of Jewish Israelis support a two-state solution which contradicts Prime Minister Yair Lapid’s statement in his recent UN speech that the majority of Israelis are in favor of this move.
According to the survey that was conducted on the eve of the Jewish New Year, 36 percent of Israelis do not think that the next government should advance a two-state solution to resolve the Palestinian conflict, compared to 50 percent in February 2021.
The poll also showed a high disparity between Jewish Israelis (31 percent) and Arab Israelis (60 percent) on this matter...
Last week, Hezbollah's chief Hassan Nasrallah warned Israel against extracting gas from the offshore gas field
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken reportedly told Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati that Washington will not be able to stop Israel from using force if Hezbollah attacks it over the disputed Karish gas field.
Blinken told Mikati that even a small show of force by the Lebanon-based militant group could lead to Israel’s retaliation, which the United States would not prevent, according to Saudi media.
Last week, Hezbollah's chief Hassan Nasrallah warned Israel against extracting gas from the offshore gas field, saying that “our missiles are locked on Karish.”
1. Rosh HaShanah begins this evening at around 6 p.m. (Israel time) and ends two days later on Tuesday just after 7 p.m. In contrast to Yom Kippur when we are preoccupied with ourselves and our sins, on Rosh HaShanah it's not about us. On Rosh HaShanah, our task is to coronate HaShem as King. Even if, throughout the year, it may appear that politics or "what will people say" or something else rules over us, our aspiration at the moment, for stability's sake, is to acknowledge that our lives are in the hands of God. 2. The principle mitzvah of Rosh HaShanah is to hear the shofar. Blowing of the shofar will be heard in the synagogue on Monday and Tuesday, generally during the morning hours. Throughout Israel, "Operation Shofar" will be in full gear, and not only in Chabad houses. T...

Facebook's parent company Meta is currently weighing whether it will lift its platform ban on former President Donald Trump, and says it's proceeding with "great caution" in its deliberations, an interview confirmed.
Nick Clegg, the current Meta president for global affairs, told Semafor on Thursday that he will ultimately be the one to decide, first talking to experts and weighing real-world effects before making a final decision.
"It's not a capricious decision. We will look at the signals related to real-world harm to make a decision whether at the two-year point — which is early January next year — whether Trump gets reinstated to the platform," Clegg stated.
"We'll talk to the experts; we'll talk to third parties; we wil...
Turkeys are selling for record high prices ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday as a resurgence of bird flu wipes out supplies across the U.S.
Avian influenza is devastating egg and turkey operations in the heartland of the country. If just one bird gets it, the entire flock is culled in order to stop the spread. Millions of hens and turkeys have been killed in recent weeks. As a result, prices for turkey hens are nearly 30% higher than a year ago and 80% above pre-pandemic costs. Just as concerning are inventories of whole turkeys, which are the lowest going into the U.S. winter holiday season since 2006. That means there will be little relief from inflation for Thanksgiving dinner.
“There’s nothing appearing on the horizon to suggest anything new is going to surface to help ea...
Reissuing a Rabbinic statement (Kol Korei) that was first published 15 years ago and that remains relevant today, Agudath Israel of America is calling upon the community to exercise care regarding the custom of kapporos before Yom Kippur. Given the size of the community, and the large volume of chickens that will be handled in the upcoming days, the practice of kapporos needs to be conducted in a manner that ensures that proper standards of kashrus, cleanliness, and humane treatment of animals, as defined by halacha, are met. This can be achieved by patronizing only those establishments that are under appropriate rabbinic supervision.

Hillary Clinton likened Donald Trump's rally in Ohio last weekend to Adolf Hitler courting Nazis, a comparison that drew a sharp rebuke from a spokesman for the former president.
"I remember as a young student, you know, trying to figure out, how people get basically brought in by Hitler. How did that happen? I'd watch newsreels and I'd see this guy standing up there ranting and raving, and people shouting and raising their arms. I thought, 'What's happened to these people?'" Clinton said at the Texas Tribune Festival in Austin.
"You saw the rally in Ohio the other night, Trump is there ranting and raving for more than an hour, and you have these rows of young men with their arms raised. I thought, what is going on?"
Trump hosted a rally...
