Red alert sirens sounded in Kiryat Shmona, Kfar Giladi and Tel Hai

Four people were wounded on Wednesday afternoon after rockets were fired from Lebanon at northern Israel, according to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

Three rockets were launched toward Israeli territory with two falling within Israel and one rocket failing and landing inside Lebanese territory, the IDF said.

One of the rockets landed in the northern Israeli city of Kiryat Shmona near the Lebanese border. Video footage appeared to show the rocket landing in an open area, sparking a fire. The other rocket also reportedly landed in an open area.

Red alert sirens sounded in Kiryat Shmona, Kfar Giladi and Tel Hai.

The Israeli military reportedly responded with artillery fire toward Lebanon.

Palestinian factions are suspected to be behind the rocket fire.
