Israel is sending medications, respirators and other medical equipment as well

Israel will begin delivering medical aid to India on Tuesday as the country faces a devastating surge in coronavirus infections.

The aid package includes oxygen generators, respirators, medications and additional medical equipment, according to a statement from the Foreign Ministry.

“India is one of Israel’s closest and most important friends. We stand with India, particularly during these difficult times India is experiencing, and are sending life-saving equipment to our Indian brothers and sisters," Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi said in a statement.

Israeli software company Amdocs​ also announced their donation of 150 oxygen generators, which will included as part of the Israeli aid package.

In addition, the Joint Distribution Committee (JDC) will donate oxygen generators and other needed equipment to those in need in India, including the small Jewish community in Mumbai. Read more at i24
