Moreshet, Israel – Aug. 14, 2020 - On August 12, 2020 (22 Menachem Av 5780), Noki and Naami Ganz and their five children made aliyah from Baltimore (Ohel Moshe/Rav Teichman) to Israel through Nefesh B'Nefesh, coming straight from Ben Gurion Airport to Moreshet, a religious village in the Galilee.

Because of restrictions due to Covid-19, they went straight from their taxi into a two-week quarantine. Moreshet residents did their utmost to make them feel welcome, even though they couldn’t greet them the usual way. Before their arrival, the children of Moreshet initiated “face time” contact online with the Ganz children so they could get to know one another before their arrival.

Residents filled the Ganz’s rental home with tables, chairs, beds and sofas so they wouldn’t come into an empty house before their lift could arrive. Their refrigerator was stocked and meals arranged for their first two weeks in Moreshet. There was even a volunteer who took out their garbage, since they weren’t allowed to leave their house while in quarantine. As you can see by the parade accompanying their taxi upon their arrival, all the residents are thrilled to welcome the Ganz family to Moreshet!

We hope many new olim from the USA and from all around the world will follow the Ganz’s initiative to Come Home to the Land of Israel!
