State troopers arrested a man after a pursuit Tuesday morning that started on the beltway and ended in a shopping center in Baltimore County, Maryland State Police said.

Don Trey Busship Lee George, 23, of Baltimore, was charged with providing a false name, fleeing and eluding law enforcement, driving on a suspended license and driving without a license.

Shortly after 7:40 a.m., a trooper initiated a traffic stop on a green Buick on the outer loop of the beltway at Perring Parkway in Parkville. The driver, later identified as George, provided the trooper with a false name, state police said.

As the trooper returned to the vehicle, George drove off onto the ramp of Perring Parkway, state police said. Once on Perring Parkway, George got out of the car and ran behind the Perring Plaza shopping center, state police said.

Police found him on the roof of one of the shopping center's buildings, from which he jumped and tried to flee, state police said. Authorities arrested George a short time later.

A deputy state fire marshal was taken to the Greater Baltimore Medical Center for treatment of injuries suffered during the pursuit.
