Baltimore, MD - Oct. 4, 2018 - Bnai Jacob Shaarei Zion (BJSZ), is very excited to introduce our newest initiative, “CONNECTIONS”, designed to engage, connect, instruct and inspire the women of our shul and community.

There is a demonstrated interest amongst women in our community for classes and chaburos that are not text-based, but that address directly and provide practical guidance on the issues that impact their day-to-day lives.

Indeed, it is widely recognized that growth and connection are cultivated best in the “Chaburah” setting, where a group of people meet regularly to learn and grow.

To meet this need, we are thrilled that our first set of such Chaburos will begin shortly. Led by Rebbetzin Mindi Hauer and Mrs. Gitti Horowitz, the first sets of Chaburos will run from mid-October until Chanukah, and are designed for mothers of young children.  Rebbetzin Hauer’s Chaburah will meet on Monday mornings at 10:30 am, and Mrs. Horowitz’s on Tuesday evenings at 8:30 pm.  The Chaburos will take place in private homes for registered participants.

Rebbetzin Hauer and Mrs. Horowitz have both given courses and chaburos on parenting issues to many groups throughout the years.

Please note that registration for these Chaburos is required and is limited. While the Chaburos are open to the community, priority for registration will be given to members of the BJSZ family.

Please note as well that we hope to expand the program in the future to include courses and chaburos for single and married women of all ages, as well as for a range of topics.
