An IDF officer on Tuesday evening saw a police vehicle zigzagging, Channel 10 News reported. The IDF officer approached and saw a sergeant in the vehicle who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol on the road between Ashlim to Shabta. He drove the police sergeant to the closest police station.

A breathalyzer was performed, and it was confirmed that the sergeant was indeed driving while intoxicated. He is being charged and his license has been suspended.

A southern district police spokesperson confirmed the incident, adding the case was turned over to the prosecutor, his license was suspended, and he was placed on leave.
