Jerusalem, Israel - Nov. 23, 2016 - Women's only performances are becoming common events. A new theater group, The Women’s Performance Community of Jerusalem, was formed to unite the area’s women through the common language of performing arts. Way, way, off Broadway, the troupe accepts females of various ages and talent areas. 

BJL paid a visit to a dress rehearsal at the OU Israel Center. 

Baltimore native Batya Americus, who made aliyah with her family before her bas mitzvah, is featured as Hagar in the upcoming production based on the story of Avraham and Sarah.

"Beachcombers & the Patriarch Abraham - well....you have to see it to understand." announced the organizers of "COUNT THE STARS" of the upcoming musical production.

Two of the women leading the production are Shifra Penkower and Sharon Katz

November 28 & 30, December 4 & 6 are nights scheduled for shows. The Jerusalem Gerald Behar stage will be filled with singing, dancing and fun.
