On Tuesday morning, Sergeant Nave Amsalem, a medic in the ICU Army team of the Shomron-Area Brigade, helped a settler give birth.

“As a medic, my job is to provide an immediate response to all residents in the area. Once we realized that labor is starting and it was not enough to reach the hospital, we did everything to help her. In the end, a healthy baby was born.” said Neve.

The couple, the Daye family, were on the way to the hospital but didn’t realize how close the labor was. They stopped next to the army medics so they can get some assistance.

The ambulance didn’t even have time to come before the mother, Amunuh Daye gave birth to a healthy child.

Mazal tov to the Daye family and thanks to the wonderful IDF soldiers who help the people of Israel every day, in any situation.
