A Chasid man in his 50’s Visiting new York city was stabbed early Friday morning on the number 6 subway platform at the Bleecker Street station just after 3:00 a.m. a NYPD Official told JP.
The victim who is believed to be from Israel was slashed in the neck and hand multiple times as he was standing on the platform.The Victim who doesn’t speak a good English told detectives that he was standing on the platform when he was stabbed by man who came up from behind, possibly making some comments against him.
The man was rushed to Bellevue hospital in stable condition and investigators are at the train station reviewing cameras, and an interpreter will be speaking with the man in the hospital to get a better understanding of what happened.
The Victim who was wearing the traditional Hasidic Wear was stabbed in stabbed on the left side neck, in the face and both hands the official said. The suspect fled the scene and no arrests have been made.
