Jerusalem, Israel - Feb. 29, 2016 - The Etzion Hub was chosen as the venue for a marketing conference sponsored by Blue Thread Marketing on Sunday morning. Participants came from various locations around the Gush, from Jerusalem, Israel, and beyond to hear from an experienced panel of speakers.

The Mayor of Efrat, Oded Revivi, began his remarks with a d'var torah. Reviv talked about the half shekel donation of the children of Israel in the desert. Why a half, not a whole one? His lesson was that no one is complete. We need two, some kind of connection. Even in this time of virtual connection, everyone should take part and add something positive of mutual interest. Davidi Perl, Head of Gush Etzion Council, began his remarks with a midrash, both stressed the need for cooperation in the region.

However, the room was filled with a wide range of professionals waiting to learn practical tips on marketing from the five speakers.

Eytan Buckman, Freightos, Aaron Zakowski, Zammo Digital Marketing, Liz Cohen, Our Crowd, and Aaron Godfrey, My Heritage, gave tips on how to engage and grow audiences and gain clients. Miriam Lottner divided the audience into teams, to introduce and play her hot-off-the-press Reveal Israel card game.

With the security situation in Gush Etzion making the headlines recently, the positive energy and goodwill all morning were especially wonderful to experience.

The conference, named #BlueCon2016, was sponsored by Blue Thread Marketing, led by Ahron Glazer and Mordecai Holtz. Amy Gottlieb Shuter and Rachel Moore are founders of the Etzion Hub. Hopefully this will be the first of many successful events at the new co-working space available at the Hub.
