Baltimore, MD - Dec. 21, 2015 - Residents at Weinberg Park celebrated Chanukah with a lively party on December 10, 2015. The gathering began with a candle lit dinner with “music by Herb” and special guest “Holiday Joe” who made balloon crowns, corsages, animals and even fishing rods for all in attendance.
Residents enjoyed potato latkes with their dinner and shared the evening together along with a few children who came to celebrate with their family members who live or work in Weinberg Park.
Moshe Englander led the group as he lit the candles with the help of the smiling children as everyone sang the Chanukah blessings and Maoz Tzur. In addition to lighting candles indoors, Weinberg Park also boasts a large electric menorah that all may see and enjoy during drives along Park Heights Avenue.
Weinberg Park is an assisted living facility with 36 residents, built by CHAI: Comprehensive Housing Assistance Inc., an agency of The Associated: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore.
