Baltimore, MD – November 5, 2026 - Barnes & Noble will open a new 17,500-square-foot store in Timonium on Wednesday, Nov. 11, marking the bookseller’s return to Baltimore County nearly a decade after closing its Towson location.

The new store, located at 130 W. Ridgely Road in the Lutherville Station shopping center, will open at 9 a.m. The space was previously home to an RH Outlet and, before that, a Borders bookstore.

Opening weekend will include appearances by the costumed character Corduroy and themed story times. Grand-opening promotions include $50 off any NOOK device and 40% off DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD movies. Premium and Rewards members will earn double stamps during the event.

The Timonium location is part of Barnes & Noble’s broader expansion following years of declining store numbers. The company has credited greater independence for local store managers with helping drive renewed growth.
