Baltimore, MD - August 6, 2025 - Nearly 230 people gathered on Thursday, June 18, for Yeshiva Gedolah Ohr Hatorah’s annual Siyum Hashanah dinner. Parents, grandparents, Kollel families, Bochurim, and the Hanhala came together to celebrate a year of growth and achievement with true kavod hatorah.

The dinner marked the end of the zman in Baltimore, before the Yeshiva moved to its summer campus to finish the zman.

The evening began with a light reception catered by Platinum Events. Parents greeted the Hanhala, heard about the hatzlacha of the talmidim, and met the Kollel chavrusas who learned with their sons during the year.

The Roshei Yeshiva, Rabbi Dovid Hoffman and Rabbi Moshe Aharon Rosenbaum, welcomed the crowd. They spoke about the hasmada and hard work of the Bochurim and Kollel. Special thanks were also given to the N’shei Ohr Hatorah—the wives and families whose support helps the Hanhala and Kollel throughout the year.

Three Bochurim made a siyum on Meseches Bava Kamma, representing the limudim of all the bochurim. Chaim Pelishev, Reuven Segan-Kohanim, and Michoel Newmark shared the hadran and kaddish.

The Dovid Spira Band then led joyful music and dancing that filled the room with the spirit of Simchas Torah. The ahavas hatorah and pride in all that had been accomplished could be felt by everyone.

Guest speaker Rabbi Yisroel Meir Lebovits praised the bochurim and shared warm words of chizuk about celebrating the past while looking toward the future.

To close the program, the Rebbeim presented each bochur with a sefer. Every Kollel yungerman also received a sefer and a special gift for his neshei chayil. R’ Mordechai Pollock and R’ Noam Levy received special recognition for the steady help and guidance they gave as Roshei Chabura during afternoon seder.

Families came from Toronto, Montreal, Phoenix, Cincinnati, Brooklyn, Lakewood, and Baltimore. Whether they traveled from near or far, everyone left proud of the year’s accomplishments and inspired by the continued growth of every Kollel yungerman and bochur at Ohr Hatorah.
