Jerusalem, Israel -  July 20, 2026 - 'On the State of the Jewish People' was the title of a conference at the Nefesh BeNefesh Campus in Jerusalem, Israel, on Monday.

Panels and speakers discussed how we can shape the relationship between Israeli Jews and Jews around the world so that everyone benefits. 

Hosted by the Department for Zionist and Jewish Identity in cooperation with the Ministry of Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism, AMI, the Jewish People Policy Institute (JPPI), and the World Zionist Organization, the conference brought together Israeli government officials, academics, rabbis, educators, community leaders, philanthropists, and representatives of Jewish communities worldwide.  

Discussions focused on strengthening Jewish identity, redefining Israel-Diaspora relations in the aftermath of October 7, fostering new partnerships with Jewish communities abroad, and addressing the challenges and opportunities facing the Jewish people in the 21st century.  The sessions in Hebrew were livestreamed and will be available online. 

Moderators included Jerusalem Post Editor-in-Chief Zvika Klein. OUIsrael CEO Rabbi Avi Berman interviewed Rabbi Shmuel Eliahu. 

Roi Abecassis of the World  Zionist Organization organized the event, and Rotem Yehoshua chaired the sessions.
