Baltimore, MD - Dec. 11, 2025 - Two fast-moving winter weather systems known as clippers will move through Maryland this weekend. Combined, the systems could potentially bring up to four inches of snow to some parts of the state, according to the latest forecasts.
The first clipper is expected to pass over the Baltimore region Friday afternoon into the evening hours and could impact the after-work commute, The Washington Post's Capital Weather Gang said in their latest forecast.
Lack of moisture to fuel the storm could limit overall snow potential, according to the National Weather Service; however, if the system strengthens, up to an inch of snow is possible for the Beltway area.
"We’d venture there’s a 10 to 20 percent chance of an inch of snow from this system, and about a 40 percent chance of a dusting," the Capital Weather Gang wrote.
