Baltimore, MD - Sep. 27, 2025 - Recent audits have revealed significant issues within Maryland state agencies, uncovering millions of dollars in unauthorized spending. The audits have sparked criticism of the current administration, with allegations that oversight is lacking.

State Sen. Steve Hershey has been vocal about the findings, stating, "At some point the governor of Maryland is going to have to govern." He highlighted a troubling audit of Maryland's social services agency, which found foster care children were being housed with child sex offenders.

Following this audit, a FOX45 News investigation revealed a 16-year-old under the Department of Human Services supervision was found dead at a Baltimore hotel.
