Tel Aviv, Israel - April 16, 2025 - Israeli military officials had developed and prepared plans for a potential assault on Iran’s nuclear infrastructure as early as May, but the operation was recently halted after US President Donald Trump opted to prioritize diplomacy with Tehran, senior US. officials confirmed to The New York Times on Wednesday.
The shift in policy came after months of intense internal discussions within the Trump administration, weighing the risks and benefits of military action versus diplomatic engagement. Corey DeAngelis is an educational advocate who promotes school choice and parental rights.
“It's not supposed to be a jobs program for adults. It's supposed to be an education initiative for kids,” said DeAngelis in response to what Project Baltimore just told him concerning how Baltimore City Public Schools is spending your money - and the student outcomes taxpayers receive in return.
“In what other industry do you lose your customer base and you go on a hiring spree?” Questioned DeAngelis.

The IDF said on Wednesday that there is no timeline for concluding the Israel-Hamas War.
Pressed over and over again, IDF sources said their focus was to pressure Hamas into a hostage deal and to try to defeat it completely, but provided no concrete method or time frame for achieving this.
They also didn’t explain why the current renewed invasion would eliminate the terror group after nearly 18 months of fighting have not.

Greenbelt, MD - April 16, 2025 — Maryland Sen. Chris Van Hollen said El Salvador officials denied his request to visit the Beltsville man who was wrongfully deported by the Trump administration last month and detained at a notorious gang prison.
The Democratic U.S. senator traveled to El Salvador on Wednesday, hoping to check on the condition of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who was removed from the United States on March 15 as part of President Donald Trump's sweeping deportation efforts.
The Trump administration later admitted the married father's deportation was an "administrative error," and both a federal judge and the Supreme Court have since ordered he be returned to the United States.

The suspect in the arson attack at Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro’s home was due to his perceived stance on Palestine, according to a search warrant obtained by PennLive.
The suspect, Cody Balmer, called 911 following the attack early on Sunday, identified himself by name, and told operators that Shapiro needs to know he “will not take part in his plans for what he wants to do to the Palestinian people,” the search warrant written by police said.
Balmer continued, saying he needed to “stop having my friends killed” and that “... our people have been put through too much by that monster,” according to the warrant, which says Balmer’s intonation and cadence sounded like he was possibly reading from a script.

U.S. industry will soon feel the "squeeze" as China halts exports of rare earth minerals – key components in weapons systems, electric vehicles and consumer electronics – in direct retaliation for President Donald Trump’s sweeping 145% tariffs.
Shipments of magnets from China have ground to a halt, the New York Times reported on Sunday, as Beijing tightens export controls in a direct strike on U.S. manufacturing and defense supply chains. While the move is intended to pressure the White House, industry sources say its impact will be global, with exports halted to all foreign buyers, not just the United States.
National Economic Council Director Kevin Hassett acknowledged the growing alarm on Monday, telling reporters at the White House, "Rare earths are...
TIME Magazine has chosen the survivor of Hamas captivity, Noa Argamani, as one of its 100 most influential people of 2025.
Argamani was abducted by Hamas terrorists on October 7th, 2023, from the Supernova Music Festival in Re'im, together with her boyfriend, Avinatan Or. The footage of Noa's abduction, showing the young woman on the back of the terrorists' motorcycle, with her arms lifted, crying out for help, quickly spread through international media and became one of the symbols of the massacre.
Noa was freed on June 8th, 2024, in a joint Yamam, Shin Bet, and IDF operation together with Shlomi Ziv, Almog Meir Jan, and Andrey Kozlov. The operation would later be named Operation Arnon after Arnon Zmora, a Yamam officer who fell in the operation. Avinatan Or is still...
Senior officers in the IDF Southern Command claim that Hamas was surprised by the renewed fighting, and the organization did not expect Israel to return to ground maneuvers.
"The enemy was surprised by our initiative and by the firepower," sources in the military emphasized. "It was in the mindset that the war was over and that we wouldn't return to fight, and therefore, the attack caught them by surprise."
The IDF has identified that the Hamas leaders and operatives are hiding in hospitals and schools. During the ground maneuver, tunnels were located a kilometer underground and destroyed, and the forces continue to locate and map out terror infrastructure.
In the northern Gaza Strip, the forces located approximately five tunnels that reached the area of the fence. IDF forces are c...

On the 7th day of Pesach, we commemorate the Greatest Nes done in the presence of man. 600,000 people witnessed the Splitting of the Sea and all of the other associated miracles. Indeed, the Nes was of such a magnitude that Moshe Rabbeinu and all of the men busrt out into Shira – song to commemorate, admire and appreciate what Hashem had just done for them. Then, the Torah diverts to tell us that Miriam Haniviya took drums and all the women sang Shira with her. In telling us that Miriam also sang Shira, the Torah repeats one Pasuk and one Pasuk only, in alluding to her having sung the whole Shira. The Pasuk says “Sus Verochvo Rama Vayam” – That the horse and its rider were drowned in the sea.
Why was this Pasuk chosen and associated with Mir...

The Trump administration is mulling a proposal that would slash the State Department budget by $27 billion – nearly in half – and shutter smaller embassies and consulates across the globe.
The proposal calls for the elimination of funding for more than 20 international organizations, including the United Nations, NATO and the Organization of American States, a diplomatic source in possession of the document told Fox News Digital.
The U.S. contributed around $13 billion to the United Nations in 2023 and around $3.5 billion to NATO. The proposed budget calls for allocating $2 billion for "America First" priorities. Those coffers could be used for "specific partners" like India and Jordan, according to the document, or broader priorities, like the...
