US Senator John Fetterman (D-Pa), who has emerged as one of the strongest supporters of Israel in the Democratic Party, expressed his support for Israel's continued military operation against Hamas today (Monday).
"Hamas’ leadership has the choice to free the hostages or face swift elimination," Sen. Fetterman wrote on X in response to a Wall Street Journal story on the elimination of Hamas leaders over the last week.
"The Palestinian tragedy was designed and maintained exclusively by Hamas. This war is Hamas’ choice and my full support follows Israel," he said.
Last week, Sen. Fetterman visited Israel and met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the Prime Minister's Office in Jerusalem.

The Trump administration accidentally texted their military strikes against the Houthi terrorist organization to The Atlantic's editor-in-chief Jeffrey Goldberg, the editor wrote on Monday on the magazine platform.
Goldberg wrote in his piece that he knew the attacks were coming two hours prior, noting that he received the military plans of Houthi targets, weapons packages, and the timing of the attack straight from US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.
The editor added that he received the information on the strikes against the Houthis on Signal, an open-source encrypted messaging service, where he received a connection request from National Security Advisor Michael Waltz, whom he initially just believed to be someone else masquerading as him. He then said he recei...
The IDF and Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) attacked more than 100 vans throughout Gaza that were being used by Hamas terrorists for terror activities, military said in a statement on Monday.
Hamas terrorists used these vans to raid, murder, and kidnap Israeli civilians on October 7 during the massacre.
On the morning of the attack, around 5.5K terrorists invaded Israel with vans, motorcycles, paragliders and by foot. Terrorists with vans and motorcycles kidnapped Israeli civilians and soldiers, dead and alive, and brought them into Gaza.

Egypt has threatened to expel recently released Hamas prisoners from its territory if the terrorist organization fails to show flexibility and agree to a revised hostage deal that would extend the current ceasefire in Gaza, a senior Israeli official said.
The prisoners in question were freed as part of the last hostage exchange and are temporarily residing in Egypt, as no other country has agreed to receive them.
Why does it matter?
The reported threat is part of mounting pressure exerted by top Egyptian intelligence officials on Hamas to accept an updated deal that could lead to the release of more hostages and a prolonged truce.
Behind the scenes
According to the Israeli official, the Egyptian pressure follows sharp messages conveyed by US White House envoy...
Red Alert sirens were activated this evening (Monday) in central Israel, the Gush Etzion area, and more areas in Israel following the launch of a missile from Yemen. The missile was intercepted over Jordanian airspace.
The IDF stated, "Following the sirens that sounded a short while ago in several areas in Israel, a missile launched from Yemen was intercepted prior to crossing into Israeli territory."
Sirens were sounded in accordance with protocol. Residents in Gush Etzion reported hearing explosions.
Earlier, sirens were activated in Sderot and the Gaza periphery following rocket attacks by terrorist organizations from the Gaza Strip.
The IDF stated that the IAF intercepted two rockets. The military wing of Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the rocket fire.
A US appeals court judge said on Monday that Nazis were given more rights to contest their removal from the United States during World War Two than Venezuelan migrants deported by the Trump administration.
In a contentious hearing, US Circuit Judge Patricia Millett questioned government lawyer Drew Ensign on whether Venezuelans targeted for removal under a little-used 18th-century law had time to contest the Trump administration's assertion that they were members of the Tren de Aragua gang before they were put on planes and deported to El Salvador.
"Nazis got better treatment under the Alien Enemies Act than has happened here," Millett said, to which Ensign responded, "We certainly dispute the Nazi analogy."
Prior to the Trump administration's invocation of the Alien Enem...

יְהִי רָצוֹן שֶׁתִּשְׁרֶה שְׁכִינָה בְּמַעֲשֵֹה יְדֵיכֶם"— May God’s Shechinah (spirit) rest upon you.
This is one of the most beautiful brachot one can possibly receive. The Jewish people invested so much time and effort in the building of the Mishkan, the spiritual center that accompanied them in the desert. They donated precious metals and jewelry, worked with diligence and dedication, and in this week’s parashah, Pekudei, the work is finally completed.
Rashi explains that Moshe Rabbeinu blesses the people with these words: “May it be God’s will that the Shechinah rest upon your handiwork.”
This magnificent brachah encapsulates a multi-layer message: You have not just built a beautiful buildi...
Baltimore, MD - March 24, 2025 - A group of 13 dedicated Chaverim of Baltimore volunteers recently completed a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training course, equipping them with critical skills to assist in times of crisis. The training, conducted in partnership with the Baltimore City Fire Department and other emergency agencies, was facilitated through Councilman Yitzy Schleifer.
While the CERT program has been in existence for many years, it has been inactive in Baltimore in recent years. Now, efforts are underway to revitalize and expand the program, with Chaverim playing a key role in strengthening emergency response capabilities for both the Jewish community and the broader Baltimore area. CERT is a nationwide program designed to train civilians to assist in natur...

New analysis released Monday by Johns Hopkins University researchers says that ships are highly likely to collide with major bridges across the United States, with the potential for catastrophic collisions happening every few years.
Researchers conducted an "urgent assessment" of the nations bridge vulnerability following the 2024 Key Bridge collapse in Baltimore. The team aimed to estimate the chances that a large ship would hit the country's most significant bridges.
Officials said that they went over 16 years of U.S. Coast Guard data, which they say included hundreds of millions of data points, port data, bridge data, and traffic data.
That study found that some of the nation's busiest bridges will likely be hit by ships within our lifetime, and some of the most ...
