Davos, Switzerland - Jan. 22, 2025  - Upon his arrival in Davos, President Isaac Herzog held meetings with a series of international leaders during the World Economic Forum.

Among the leaders President Herzog met: President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of Finland Alexander Stubb, President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić, President of the Democratic Republic of Congo Félix Tshisekedi, Prime Minister of Albania Edi Rama, Prime Minister of the Netherlands Dijk Schouw, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency Rafael Grossi, Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis, and other senior leaders.

During these meetings, the President emphasized the urgent and critical need to return the hostages held captive by Hamas, and to fully implement all stages of the hostage deal.

President Herzog also highlighted the necessity of ensuring the security of Israeli citizens, who face threats from Iran and its proxies, and stressed the importance of joint efforts to combat terrorism. In response, many of the leaders expressed deep appreciation for Israel's achievements in the fight against terrorist organizations seeking to destabilize regional security repeatedly. They agreed there is an opportunity to fundamentally alter the regional situation. Additionally, the leaders welcomed the beginning of the hostages' return and the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip as part of the signed deal.
