Baltimore, MD - Sept. 16, 2024:

Dear Shomrei Family:

At approximately 6:00 am this morning, an armed robbery occurred outside our shul.  An individual who was parking his car on Greenspring Avenue to attend Shacharis in our shul was held up at gunpoint by three masked men who quickly drove away.  They took his phone and wallet.  Thank G-D, the man was unharmed, but was  shaken up.

Members of Shomrim were on the scene at once, the police were called immediately, and within several minutes they arrived, sending multiple officers. From what we were told,  this appears to be a crime of opportunity, but we urge everyone to be cautious and vigilant and pay careful attention to your surroundings at all times.

We are working closely with law enforcement to provide them with all helpful information from this incident.  May Hashem watch over all of us and, as always, if you see anything of concern, please reach out to 911 and Shomrim immediately.
