Baltimore, MD - Sept. 9, 2024  - (FOX45) Baltimore police are investigating a carjacking that occurred on Saturday afternoon, leaving a woman in her sixties hospitalized. The incident took place at approximately 1:15 p.m. in the 3600 block of Fords Lane in northwest Baltimore.

According to witnesses, two suspects approached the woman, one of whom was armed, and demanded her vehicle. The woman was pistol-whipped by one of the suspects before being struck by her own car as they sped off. Baltimore police confirmed that the victim was hit by the vehicle and transported to the hospital for treatment.

A local resident described the scene to FOX45, stating that she saw the victim lying on the ground before medical personnel arrived. "I saw a lady laying in the middle of the parking lot, covered in blood. Her shoe and glasses were off, and I thought she was dead," the resident recalled.

This violent carjacking occurred just 30 yards from the site where Efraim Gordon, a visitor from Israel attending a family wedding, was shot and killed during an attempted carjacking in 2021. Four suspects, mostly teenagers, were involved in Gordon's murder.
