Hot and humid conditions will continue to bake the Baltimore region Friday, paving the way for a possible wet and stormy weekend.

An excessive heat warning was in effect Friday from noon until 8 p.m. for the following counties: Anne Arundel, Calvert, Cecil, Charles, Prince George's, Harford, Baltimore and St. Mary's. A heat advisory was also issued for Howard, Harford, Montgomery, Baltimore, Carroll and Frederick counties.

According to the National Weather Service, dangerously hot conditions are expected throughout the region with temperatures nearing 100 degrees and heat index values pushing 110 degrees.

"Heat indices will range between 104-107 degrees west of I-95 with values closer to 110 degrees in the Baltimore/DC metros," NWS forecasters said Friday. "Scattered to numerous strong storms look to provide a little relief this afternoon."... Read More: Pikesville Patch
