Annapolis, MD - May 15, 2024  - 4:54PM - The Maryland State House is on lockdown Wednesday due to a bomb threat. The building was also on lockdown Tuesday for a bomb threat that was later deemed unfounded.

"This afternoon, a call was made to the Annapolis Police Department with a bomb threat to the Maryland State House," Maryland Department of General Services spokesperson Nick Cavey told Patch in a Wednesday email. "State and local law enforcement agencies are on-site to conduct a search of the campus following standard security protocols. The public is advised to remain off premises and to heed advice from law enforcement agencies."
