Baltimore, MD - Feb. 16, 2024  - (FOX45) A recent poll reveals that in the race for the vacant Senate seat, former Governor Larry Hogan is neck-and-neck with Rep. David Trone, both garnering 42% in a hypothetical general election matchup, according to the first Emerson College Polling/The Hill/DC News Now survey of the 2024 Maryland U.S. Senate Election. Additionally, Hogan leads County Executive Angela Alsobrooks, 44% to 37%, with 19% undecided. In the Republican senate primary, Hogan leads with 43% support, while no other candidate reaches double digits, leaving 43% of voters undecided. Conversely, in the Democratic primary, Trone leads with 32% support, followed by Alsobrooks at 17%, with 37% of Democratic primary voters undecided.
