'Five outbreaks are still active, but that does not put any inhabitant in danger for the moment'
The massive forest fire that started in the Jerusalem area on Sunday continues to spread into the wooded hills outside of the capital Monday morning, but neighboring homes are no longer in danger, rescue services said.
Firefighters managed to keep the flames sufficiently under control, and are continuing their work against the blaze which is considered the largest in the region for years.
"Five fronts are still active, but that does not put any inhabitants in danger for the moment," Jerusalem fire chief Shlomi Ben Yair told Military Radio on Monday morning.... Read More: i24
