Brooklyn man has been arrested by the NYPD for robbing a six year old Chasidic boy of an electric scooter that he was riding in the heart of Borough Park two weeks ago.
Police said that 59 year old Daniel Ufares of Bushwick was arrested and charged with robbery and criminal possession of stolen property on Monday in regards to the incident, which took place on 12th Avenue near 36th Street. The robbery left the child, identified as Simcha Rothenberg, traumatized.

As previously reported on VIN News, police turned to the public for help, releasing surveillance footage of the incident on July 16th.
Ufares has at least one prior arrest.
The New York Post (https://bit.ly/3wNmh7z) reported that he was one of three people arrested for grabbing a man who had just finished having dinner with a date Ridgewood, Queens and throwing him down to the ground, taking his wallet and $300.
