Israel Parliament authorizes electronic cuffs policy for citizens returning from abroad

Israel’s High Court of Justice ruled on Wednesday that the government’s restrictions on entering and exiting the country are unconstitutional, daily Haaretz reported.

The current limitations of the state apply to those who are either not vaccinated or recovered from Covid-19.

In addition, the Israeli government limited the entry capacity to 3,000 passengers per day -- an unprecedented policy for most western countries.

As the air traveling limits expire on March 21, the justices ruled that they will not be extended.

Meanwhile, the Knesset (Israel Parliament) approved in second and third readings a law that will compel citizens returning from abroad to wear electronic cuffs for their isolation period at home.
