Spokesman of Iranian shipping company slams 'maritime piracy that contradicts international law'

The ship was on its way to Europe on Wednesday when it was hit by an explosion while sailing in international waters, a spokesman for the state-run Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Line Group told Iranian outlet Nour News.

The blast caused a part of the ship to catch fire as the crew on board put it out without sustaining any injuries, the spokesman, Ali Ghayathian, elaborated. Read more at i24
