President Donald Trump suggested Thursday that he could invoke the Insurrection Act of 1807 and allow the U.S. military to be used for law enforcement purposes amid tension in Minnesota.
"If the corrupt politicians of Minnesota don't obey the law and stop the professional agitators and insurrectionists from attacking the patriots of ICE, who are only trying to do their job, I will institute the Insurrection Act," Trump wrote Thursday on Truth Social.
The post comes one day after a federal officer shot a person in the leg after allegedly being attacked with a shovel. The shooting was about five miles from the location where an immigration agent shot Renee Good in the head on Jan. 7 as she attempted to drive away.
The presence of Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, coupled wi...
With a jam packed Parsha, sometimes it’s easy to overlook some seemingly strange narrative. Take this one exchange between Moshe and Pahroh. Mitzrayim is under siege form the frogs and Pahroh beseeches Moshe, “Prey for me that the frogs should stop”. Moshe responds “When should they stop? (VaEira, 8: 5) Really? Is there any answer other than “NOW!! Right NOW”!? Apparently so, – Pahroh in fact responds, “tomorrow”. Make these insufferable frogs go away tomorrow (8:6). What on earth can that be about. Why wouldn’t Pharoh want the frogs to go away immediately? This perplexing question is followed up with the Macca of Kinim where Pharohs magicians concede that this is “the finger of G-d” as they could not work magic on any...

US President Donald Trump has instructed his national security team that any potential US military action in Iran must deliver a swift and decisive blow to the regime rather than trigger a prolonged conflict, NBC News reported Wednesday, citing a US official, two people familiar with the discussions and a person close to the White House.
“If he does something, he wants it to be definitive," one of the people familiar with the discussions told NBC News.
However, Trump’s advisers have not been able to assure him that the Iranian regime would quickly collapse following a US strike, the US official and two people familiar with the talks told the network.
Officials are also concerned that the US may lack sufficient assets in the region to counter what they expect w...
Iran closed its airspace early Thursday morning to all flights, except for international flights to and from the country that received special authorization.
Meanwhile, reports from Iraq stated that fighter jets were heard in the Kirkuk area in the center of the country.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump spoke at the White House and commented on the situation in Iran.
"We have been notified pretty strongly that the killing in Iran is stopping, and there's no plan for executions or an execution," Trump said.
He noted that "I've been told that in good authority. We'll find out about it, I'm sure. If it happens, we'll be very upset."
The President attributed the information to "very important sources on the other side and they said that the killing has...

President Trump claimed on Wednesday that the killing of protesters in Iran has ceased.
"We have been notified pretty strongly that the killing in Iran is stopping, and there's no plan for executions or an execution," Trump told reporters in the Oval Office.
He noted that "I've been told that in good authority. We'll find out about it, I'm sure. If it happens, we'll be very upset."
The President attributed the information to "very important sources on the other side and they said that the killing has stopped and the executions won't take place. There were supposed to be a lot of executions today, but the executions won't take place. We're going to find out. I'll find out after this, you'll find out."
The President seemed to hint that th...

Baltimore, MD - Jan. 14, 2026 - Maryland Attorney General Anthony Brown announced a revised settlement with Capital One, requiring the bank to pay $425 million in restitution and offer better interest rates to 360 Savings customers who were previously denied higher interest payments.
The new agreement, which more than doubles the value of an earlier proposed settlement, was reached after Brown joined a bipartisan coalition of attorneys general opposing the initial deal.
"For years, Capital One shortchanged Maryland consumers while steering new customers to much higher rates," Brown said. “In opposing the previous, unfair settlement, we pushed for a better agreement that returns millions more to Marylanders’ pockets.”
The settlement, approved by the court, mandates Capi...
