Baltimore, MD - Sept. 3, 2025 - Arming Baltimore City Schools Police Officers during the school day is a topic that has been debated in Annapolis for years.
Currently, City Schools Police assigned to a school must disarm themselves during instructional hours, meaning students do not get armed security while in school. But, as Project Baltimore recently learned, the same does not apply to district leadership. When the CEO recently toured a series of schools, she was accompanied by armed police officers.
On Monday, August 25, students returned to class in Baltimore City Public Schools. On that day, City Schools CEO Dr. Sonja Santelises traveled the city visiting classrooms, greeting staff and talking to students.
With the CEO, were two Baltimore City Schools Police Officers. Both officers...
French President Emmanuel Macron requested to make a snap visit to Israel, but the request was rejected, with a condition attached, according to a report which aired Wednesday evening on Kan 11 News.
The report stated that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu conveyed a message to Macron, stipulating that he must retract his intention to recognize a Palestinian state in order to visit Israel. Macron reportedly refused.
An Israeli source quoted in the report said, “We won’t let Macron play both sides.”
Earlier, former French parliament member Meyer Habib told Kan 11 that Macron had indeed sought to visit Israel but was turned down by Netanyahu.
“Macron sent a message to Netanyahu expressing his desire to come, but Netanyahu responded that under the cu...
In a dramatic twist to New York City's mayoral race, advisers to US President Donald Trump have reportedly discussed offering Mayor Eric Adams a position in the administration - potentially an ambassadorship - in a bid to clear the field and weaken the chances of Democratic front-runner Zohran Mamdani, the New York Times reported on Wednesday.
According to three sources familiar with the matter, the maneuver aims to bolster former Governor Andrew Cuomo’s third-party candidacy against Mamdani, whose rise has alarmed business leaders and political moderates and who has come under fire for his anti-Israel views.
The discussions, which have unfolded over several weeks, have taken on new urgency as the campaign season enters its final stretch, according to the Times....
A U.S. judge in Boston on Wednesday ruled that the Trump administration had unlawfully terminated roughly $2.2 billion in federal research grants awarded to Harvard University — marking a major victory for the nation's oldest college, which has sparred with Trump officials for months over federal funding.
In the 84-page ruling, U.S. District Judge Allison D. Burroughs said the Trump administration "used antisemitism as a smokescreen" to illegally block off the billions in research funding for Harvard University.
"We must fight against antisemitism, but we equally need to protect our rights, including our right to free speech, and neither goal should nor needs to be sacrificed on the altar of the other," she said in her order.
"Now it is the job of the courts t...

In a post on Truth Social, the President called on the terrorist organization to release all 20 living Israeli hostages in one wave and promised that the war would end if it did so.

The Houthi terrorists in Yemen launched a missile at Israel on Wednesday evening.
As a result of the launch, sirens sounded in areas south of Jerusalem, including the Gush Etzion, Dead Sea, and Hebron areas.
A short time later, the IDF announced that "a missile launched from Yemen was intercepted by the IAF. Sirens were sounded in accordance with protocol."
Magen David Adom (MDA) reported that “at this stage, no calls have been received at MDA’s 101 hotline regarding rocket impacts or casualties.”
This was the second time that the Houthis launched a missile at Israel in just a few hours. As a result of a launch earlier in the day, sirens sounded throughout central Israel.
Multiple explosions were heard following the sirens. Airspace at Ben Gurion Airport was temporar...
Salesforce has announced the layoff of 4,000 support employees, nearly half of its customer service team, following the implementation of the Agentforce AI system. The move reduced the support workforce from roughly 9,000 employees to just 5,000.
The new AI-based system currently handles about 50% of customer inquiries, enabling the company to restore over 100 million leads that had not been addressed before. According to the company, this allowed a "rebalancing" of the workforce and the expansion of resources dedicated to sales activities.
The move raises serious questions about the future of work in the age of artificial intelligence. Salesforce says the system handles only routine cases, while humans intervene in complex or unclear situations. "It is similar to the model of an autonom...
IDF and Shin Bet forces in recent weeks arrested a squad of Hamas operatives from Hebron who allegedly operated under the Hamas headquarters in Turkey to assassinate National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir.

Baltimore, MD - Sept. 2, 2025 - President Donald Trump said Tuesday that he's ready to order federal authorities to mobilize and combat crime in Chicago and Baltimore, despite staunch opposition from elected leaders and many residents in both cities. Asked by reporters in the Oval Office about sending National Guard troops to the nation's third-largest city, Trump said, “We’re going in,” but added, “I didn’t say when.” “I have an obligation," the president said. ”This isn't a political thing." Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker, a potential 2028 Democratic presidential contender, scoffed at the notion of sending military troops and federal agents into Chicago, reiterating Tues...
