Former National Security Advisor and retired IDF Major-General, Yaakov Amidror, warns that war between Israel and Syria is almost inevitable and that Israel has the responsibility to initiate a military attack against Syria in order to prevent its armament with non conventional weapons.

Amidror warns, “The war in Idlib is not over yet and it will be the cruelest of all, and I will not be surprised if it includes chemical weapons.

“The blow that the Sunnis sustained this time was very sever, and now Shiite militias are entering the country and changing the balance of demographic forces. The Syrian army will be rebuilt now, and it will be more Shiite.

“It should be remembered that there are areas which have been completely destroyed and that the war in the Idlib region is not over yet and will be the cruelest of all, all the means will be justified towards ending the campaign. I will not be surprised if chemical weapons are used in the last battle, because both sides have nothing to lose. I do not know what the Americans will do about it, but Assad wants to leave a deep mark on his enemies in order to prevent the next time.

According to the picture being painted for the Iranians, there is not going to be a calm stay in Syria.

“Indeed,” Amidror replied, adding “on the other hand, in view of the severe blow that the Sunnis have received, I think no one will dare raise their heads in the near future.” Read more at YWN
