IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-General Gadi Eizenkott on Tuesday 20 Iyar visited the Nachal Chareidi Battalion (Netzach Yehuda) in an outpost in the Binyamin Regional Council area of the Shomron. The IDF commander was making a solidarity visit, addressing soldiers regarding attacks against chareidi soldiers (chardakim) and the military’s commitment to use the full weight of the law against such persons.

Eizenkott was given a tour of the battalion’s operations by commander Lt.-Colonel Uri Levy, as well as sitting down with and speaking directly to soldiers, seeking to give them a chizuk as well as empathizing with many of them who are paying a very high price for deciding to serve in the IDF.

Eizenkott stressed he is in contact with all law-enforcement agencies including Police Chief Alsheich demanding a hard hand against anyone and everyone who attacks soldiers, calling for their imprisonment.
