KABUL—A bombing at Kabul’s main mosque left several Afghan civilians dead on Sunday afternoon, the Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack on the Eid Gah mosque in the heart of the Afghan capital. In recent weeks, Islamic State-Khorasan Province has launched several attacks on the Taliban, mostly in the eastern city of Jalalabad.

This was the first major attack in the Afghan capital since ISKP killed 13 U.S. Marines and some 200 Afghan civilians at the gates of the Kabul airport in August.
