Baltimore, MD - Dec. 6, 2023 - (FOX45) Sheila Dixon is the preferred mayoral candidate for Baltimore City's Democratic Primary, according to newly obtained poll numbers. The poll, conducted by Lake Research Partners in Washington, D.C., surveyed 800 likely voters in October. Initially, Dixon had 39% support, incumbent Mayor Brandon Scott had 31%, candidate Bob Wallace had 10%, and 15% were undecided. After those surveyed heard profiles and statements about the candidates, Dixon's support increased by three points, while Scott's declined by four points. In the final ballot, Dixon led Scott by 14 points. Primary election day is scheduled for May 14, 2024.
