Baltimore, MD - Sept. 20, 2023 - The Baltimore Board of Estimates has deferred its vote on the nearly $280,000 contract for Acting Baltimore Police Commissioner Richard Worley to October 4, according to WBALTV. The City Council plans to vote on Worley's confirmation on the upcoming Thursday at 5 p.m. This follows a series of delays, including the postponement of Worley's nomination hearing to allow for community meetings. Worley became acting commissioner after Mayor Brandon Scott announced the stepping down of the previous commissioner, Michael Harrison.
