610 injured in magnitude 6.1 earthquake

The death toll has risen to 950 with 610 injured from a magnitude 6.1 earthquake that shook Afghanistan early Wednesday, Reuters reported.

The quake struck about 27 miles from the city of Khost in southeastern Afghanistan at a depth of 31 miles, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS).
